Global Schools Program

Doukas School is the only school in Greece that has received the Global Schools Program certification of the United Nations. This certification enriches our educational program with experiential and inter-thematic actions, inspired by the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our initiatives aim to raise students’ awareness of critical issues such as ending poverty, inequality and injustice, tackling climate change, protecting the environment and encouraging good governance, peace and security.

The Global Schools Program is an initiative of the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, which supports UNESCO’s Global Program of Action on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The vision of the program is to create an environment where every student is equipped with the necessary knowledge, values and skills to respond effectively to the greatest challenges of the 21st century and shape a sustainable world for all.
