Since 2008, we offer the first and only integrated BTEC Foundation in Art, Design & Media Practice Program in Greece. This program provides thorough preparation in a wide range of artistic subjects, equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge for admission to Art & Design schools abroad.
Through flexible and creative full-time and part-time programs, we give the opportunity to our GCE, IB and Senior High School students to obtain additional BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Art & Design and BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (QCF) certifications are awarded by Pearson.

The program aims at cultivating critical thinking and knowledge of the modern world, the connection of contemporary practice with historical, cultural, environmental and social influences, the development of intellectual curiosity, the methods of creative production, the exploration of new ideas, etc. The BTEC of Doukas School prepares students appropriately for Art & Design schools, worldwide, with a team of teachers specializing in many different fields.
Educational program BTEC Level 3
The program is divided into 3 stages (exploratory, pathway and confirmatory) and provides the following courses and directions:
Architecture, 3D Digital Design, Fine Art – Life drawing, Fashion & Textiles, Creative Writing, Glass, Photography, Film, Animation, Graphic Design & Illustration, Metal, Historical και Contextual Studies.
Educational program BTEC Level 1 Art & Design
Doukas School is the only school in Greece that prepares children for BTEC Level 1 Art & Design certification, as early as the age of 14. This certification is useful when submitting their candidacy for admission to higher education abroad.
With this preparation program, we teach children to creatively capture their ideas, deepen the concept of sketchbook, research, experiment, cultivate their critical thinking and develop their sketch and drawing. In this way, they can attend, with greater comfort and confidence, the courses of BTEC Foundation in Art, Design & Media Practice, GCE Art η του IB Visual Arts.
Admissions
To enroll in BTEC Foundation Art & Design’s annual Full-Time program, candidates must:
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Have obtained an IB baccalaureate or diploma or 2 GCE A-levels or have completed 12 years of compulsory studies
- Have received or received by the end of the course: GCSE grade C or IELTS grade at least 6.0
To enroll in the Part-Time program, candidates must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have completed 10 years of compulsory studies
- Have received or received by the end of the course: GCSE grade C or IELTS grade at least 6.0
