With the IGCSE courses we offer, we prepare and familiarize our students with this new education system before they take their A-Levels, while also enabling them to gain IGCSE qualifications that will enrich their UCAS candidacy in their final year of study them at A-Levels.
The Educational Program International Advanced Levels – IAL
The GCE/IAL Curriculum we offer is the same minimum one-year Secondary Education program followed by the majority of High Schools in England and Wales and acts as an entrance certificate to British Higher Education. It has a duration of 1 to 2 years and is formed based on the direction of study. It has the same standards, is examined in the same way and is recognized as all GCEs obtained in Britain or elsewhere. The GCE/IAL A-Level courses provide correspondence with the national baccalaureate but do not provide equivalence, which is necessary for anyone interested in taking National exams. In the event that a student wants to leave open the decision to study in Greece or abroad, then the GCE program is followed in parallel with the High School courses.
The GCE Department of our Schools can enroll students or graduates of General High School, whether they come from our School or not. High School students can attend their classes as normal because the GCE program takes place in the afternoon. Registration for each academic year starts on April 1st and ends on September 15th with the possibility of extension until September 30th, in case of vacancies. Places are filled in order of attendance and the maximum number of students per department is strictly adhered to.
